Man Injured on Bison Ride at Yellowstone Theme Park
A grandfather just became the star of Yellowstone's newest "Bison Ride," launching an impressive eight feet into the air after a run-in with a 2,000-pound bull.
CODY, WY – In what park enthusiasts are calling the most thrilling new attraction since Old Faithful, 65-year-old Carl Isom-McDaniel recently partook in the park’s unadvertised, high-velocity "Bison Ride".
According to eyewitness and professional photographer Mike MacLeod, who captured the event at Bridge Bay Campground, the interactive experience concluded with Isom-McDaniel launching a staggering eight feet into the air. MacLeod described the 2,000-pound mammalian ride operator to Cowboy State Daily as "agitated, pissed off and charging anything and everything."
Unlike previous park guests who explicitly signed up for the "Gore Me" package by trying to pet the giant, fluffy cows, reports from The Guardian confirm that Isom-McDaniel was minding his own business at a respectful distance when the aggressive bull initiated the impromptu launch. After making a "perfect flip", but a less-than-perfect landing, the grandfather underwent emergency surgery.
Yellowstone management continues to remind tourists that their fluffy lawn ornaments can hit 35 mph, easily outrunning the average vacationer. Despite the severe injuries, Isom-McDaniel is reportedly in good spirits. He later posted a Facebook message reading: "Thank you everyone I am O K," accompanied by a thumbs-up emoji.
The message was presumably sent using his one remaining uninjured arm.
